I think Epsons are supposed to do better color, but I'm running an HP Deskjet 970cxi and it is pretty good. It definitely works under Linux. (I mainly run a Laserjet, model 2200, for ordinary files.) At 08:19 05/17/2002 -0400, Jerry Feldman wrote:
My BJC6000 died recently and I replaced it with an Epson C80. The C80 is faster and has better color.

I wish to purchase a printer that is highly compatible with linux in general, and SuSE linux in particular without the necessity of an overly obscure or arcane workaround. Color printing is an absolute must.

I don't know about the S800, but I have a BJC-6000. I'm very happy with it, and don't intend to replace it any time soon. Just before this Canon, I made the terrible mistake of buying an HP-722, which I sold to someone as soon as I could; I won't be buying another HP printer if I can help it.
