No, I am using 16bit. I did the update from suse that added the "switch2xf86_glx" command that did enable 3D, but now the 3C games will not load at all.
Is there another way?
There is little information for a very helpful help. What does 3Ddiag says? It checks your 3d configuration. It helped me a lot when I have set up 3D on my ATI Radeon Mobility (very different from yours, but the settings should not differ, only the drivers).

Sorry, Praise and Patrick. I ment to include my setup. I am running SuSE 8.0 Pro. on an AMD 1.4G Processor. I have 256 MB RAM. The 3Ddiag (nice hint Praise) says I am running "ATI Technologies Inc Radeon QD (1002@5144)". I have tried to run the sax2 utility but it just flakes out. What other info can I provide? Fortunately I bought the ATI Card because I have had nothing but good service out of them since before the RAGE days. They were of the few that ran well even in Windoze. and I am very new to Linux myself, having only recently gotten serious about running it at home and at work. -- See Ya' Howard Coles Jr. John 3:16!
