Yesterday I performed a manual update using YOU to Suse.com. All the downloads were complete and it appeared that all the installs went correctly, but YOU hung after the install phase whowed 100%. I switched to the terminal window, and ps hung. I then went to one of the virtual terminals and was unable to log it. The symptom was similar to the problem I had on my desktop system a while back when the hard drive would go to sleep on me as a result of a failing power supply, which is not the case with my laptop. Upon a reboot, I checked and all the updates had been installed correctly AFAIK. -- Jerry Feldman Enterprise Systems Group Hewlett-Packard Company 200 Forest Street MRO1-3/F1 Marlboro, Ma. 01752 508-467-4315 http://www.testdrive.compaq.com/linux/
