Hello everyone! I just installed SuSE 8.0 personal on my laptop (a toshiba sattelite pro 445cdx). Whenever I try to boot up, I get the following error: Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03 And then the boot process just hangs. I can, however, get my system to boot via the installation disk and choosing "Installation" and when yast2 detects linux already installed on my system, I select to boot it. I cannot even use the boot floppy i created, I get the same kernel panic error....the only way to boot is by using the cd Installtion disc. Does anyone know what this error means and how to get around it? Thank you very much for any replies! --Chris
