About what article are you talking? Please let me know. (link?) Alain
Does anyone know what Dennis Powell's problem with SuSE is? In his
No, but it sounds like it doesn't work for him. :-) IIRC, he was just a very big fan of Caldera OpenLinux, he wrote about his transition to SuSE last year on LinuxPlanet.
The man makes no sense in what he is saying. Frankly after reading his articles, I have come to the conclusion that he never actually installed a distro in his life.
That would be doubtful considering he authored one of the first (if not the first) KDE book ever published. I can't remember the name ATM, but there was still a copy at the local Barnes and Nobel a few months ago...
I also hate it that you must register on Linux and Main to post a comment. I wonder if the purposely write articles like his to boost the register users amount for some purpose.
That's the default way PHP-Nuke works. My site required registration until recently. I changed that policy, and so far I'm getting more noise and less useful comments.
I guess I will just stay away from that terrible site. Must be run by a MS company.
No it's run by a very good, well respected author who has written for numerous respected publications, and as I mentioned was very well known in the early KDE community. He has some controvercial opinions, but he is a very smart, talented journalist. Read some of his other stuff, I bet you'll like it.
