, after upgraded from kernel 2.4.4 to 2.4.16-37, there's an error message "unresolved symbol pci_irq_mask" when loading drivers for pcmcia (i82365.o). So I tried to query the modules with depmod, and found that the parameter should now be "irq_mask".
This has nothing to do with a parameter name. That error message means, that the module needs a symbol (function or variable), that either the kernel or another module should export but doesn't. This is an error in either the kernel or the module and can only be fixed by changing and recompiling the source or by updating the kernel (again). Which kernel RPM are you referring to? Philipp
