Hi.
Hi Erik; [snip]
In the SuSE 8.0, that I received yesterday, there are also the option to choose SMTP, and there is a filed with "name". Is that "name" the server name ?. At last there are also the portnumber here. I have set the name to localhost.
I got mine working with; "Name: Sendmail" "Location: /usr/sbin/sendmail" And under the section "Identity" I chose "special transport: Sendmail" in the "Advanced" tab.
All my mails are then saved in the outbox, and stands there for always. My network is ok, as I can send and receive mails from Netscape. I have the sendmail_smarthost set to the mail.tele.dk that is my ISP. Where do you think the culprit are to be found ?.
Are you running Sendmail in Queue-mode ??
