I received SuSE 8 Pro this morning. (Digital River is across town). After work I installed it on my Dell I8100 and most everything (what little I have done) works. It detected the Nvidia GeForce2 GO video card and let me define the screen at 1600x1200. 7.3 had problems with this; not that I tried very hard to fix it since at the time 8 was due in a couple of weeks. I have found 1 error so far with the install: It linked /dev/cdrom to /dev/hdb instead of /dev/sr0. Changing the link got the cdrom working. Now I can play my audio CDs. I noticed that with 8 install, the USB interfaces are automatically activated during the install. Under 7.3 this did not happen, which caused very interesting install issues if you have a USB keyboard and/or mouse. Dave Sand Unix pro / Linux novice
