Man, Sun must be learning something from it's association with SuSE. I just got Solaris 2.8 (8 for you marketing people) 02/02 which is the last completely patched up release. It came with the usual 15 CD's full-o-crap, but it also came with all of it on DVD..the OS and every addon. :) DVD's are totally the way to go...now if we could just get PC's to export their display to the serial port automatically so I could do installs of SuSE from my desk on machines attached to the terminal server. Damn PC Bios ;) * W.D.McKinney (deem@wdm.com) [020423 21:31]: ::I must say since SuSE started putting the distro on a DVD it has brought ::up the best of working with this OS. The ease of packing a complete OS ::replete ::with so many apps on a single disc is excellent. I bought an in-expensive ::IDE DVD drive ::to complement my SCSI system and it works great. Not to mention being able ::to watch movies ::under Linux is very nice :-) Thanks SuSE. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- "I've never been quarantined.
