Hello. Hmm, I presume you reset the BIOS because of an upgrade to that BIOS, or because of another issue that you thought the BIOS was causing. If X was working before you reset the BIOS, then it will probably work again. Firstly, try Matt's suggestion and make sure you tell the BIOS to assign an IRQ to VGA. Also, make sure to set the AGP aperture size to the maximum allowable, which may be 64MB, 128MB or 256MB on an LX based board. Another thing to check is a setting called something like Primary Video or Primary VGA. This will be a choice of PCI or AGP. Be sure it is set to AGP. I have an LX based board here with a PII-333, 128MB RAM and an Asus V7100 GF2MX card in it. It has SuSE 7.3 Pro, kernel 2.4.16 and Nvidia drivers v2313 on it. It gets reasonable scores in gears, and Unreal Tournament runs just fine at 800x600x16. I just thought I'd tell you that so you'd know your hardware is plenty capable of doing X and 3D. Bye for now, Stuart. -----Original Message----- <snip> Why did you reset the BIOS? Not 100% sure what issue this is, but have you have got AGP set in the BIOS? Including giving it an IRQ? Had issues when I didn't give my board an IRQ during post. </snip>
