/dev/sr0 for the cd-rw /dev/sr1 for the cd-rom
When I run "cat /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info" i get
hdb for the cd-rw hdc for the cd-rom
Not sure if that helps.
I know the links are screwed up, but I can't figure out how to get them back to normal.
Now, when I try to "mount" them, it says "mount:
/dev/cdrecorder : unknown device" Same with the CD-rom But if I click on the desktop link
OK - you could try making the links again. On my system, which sounds like yours, you should have (ignore line-wrap):
root@oilslick:/dev > ls -al cdrom cdrecorder lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Jan 19 11:14 cdrecorder -> /dev/scd1 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Jan 19 11:14 cdrom -> /dev/scd0
So, you can issue the following two commands, to create the "devices":
root@oilslick:/dev > ln -s /dev/scd0 cdrom root@oilslick:/dev > ln -s /dev/scd1 cdrecorder
Try that, and see if it helps.
