I'm having an issue installing 7.3 Pro on an older machine. It has a Diamond S220 video card, and a no name monitor.
When installing 7.3, the installer uses some default X setup which seems to work just fine on this machine. However, as soon as it gets to the step of choosing a monitor, I get into trouble. No matter what choice I have made (tried just about all). The video from that point on goes wacky on me, and X is hosed from that point on. Even trying Sax2 from a command line later is really painful since the default is so screwed up. Is there a way I can tell the installer to just stick with the default settings it has been using so far?
maybe the refresh rate were too high. could you set the vertical refresh rate to 60Hz or 50Hz -- SuSE 7.3Pro KDE 2.2.2 Kernel 2.4.10
