Hi,
First of all thanks to Jostein Berntsen, the xfree 4.2 works nearly great with the AIW radeon... nearly, because I loose the console after login off from the X session.... but I'll try to track this problem down....
My today's concern is a remote X session. I have a box that runs SuSE 7.2, and... xfree 4.2.0 on a AIW Radeon... That's nice, and the whole things is ok so far... But I want to access to a X session from work... BTW, we only run Windows PC at work, so I need something to run a X client on a windows environnement...
I've looked to some infos on the web and found this one :

Q1 : The problem is that the mi/x is not quite freeware or gpl.... It's a real commercial thing... Does anyone knows of free windows X client (win98) or url ?
Q2 : after exporting display and so on, is there something to care about if KDE (for example) is already running on the host with a specific xfconfig, when wanting to open a remote session, or is the export completely independant of it and only sends "orders" to the remote X programm (I guess the 2nd solution is the one, but I want to be sure....)
Regards stephane parenton Hi,
There are several X servers for win32, I believe there's one running under cygwin for instance. But the best solution for you is probably to go with VNC. Install, configure and run vnc.rpm on the suse box and grab a vnc client for windows. There's one at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ regards Anders
