Well, once again I clicked on the Sax2 menu item, and now Gnome is screwed up. Maybe Sax stands for "Surely Annihilates X". And to think, they tell you not to touch /etc/X11/XF86Config with your text editor. Why? Because you'll LOVE how Sax will screw it up. Where did they program that thing- Redmond?
So I do have a backup, but I don't know what files I'll need to restore my Gnome desktop to sanity. Anyone? Thanks in advance for the help.
I should get a refund for the number of man-hours Sax2 has cost me. It's getting removed from my menus, permanently.
sax messed up gnome??? Just out of curiosity, do the other windowmanagers work OK? Because to my knowledge sax works only on the basic X config, not on the desktop managers. The files that configure gnome (if that is really what's messed up) are in ~/.gnome and ~/.gnome-desktop regards Anders
