Did you install the python$VERSION-tkinter rpm? (Do a "rpm -qa | grep python" if you're unsure.) If you didn't there's an obvious reason why you can't import Tkinter. If you did, check/modify sys.path thus: import sys sys.path.append("path to python-tkinter modules") You can also make additions to your $PYTHONPATH. On python 2.0 /usr/lib/python2.0/lib-tk is listed in sys.path, so it should be something similar on later versions. lördagen den 5 januari 2002 22.33 skrev du:
Hi
I was wondering if some body could explain to me how to set up the Tkinter module of Python as all I get when I try to import from it is no module called Tkinter loaded.
I have tried upgrading my version of Python to version 2.2a3,and also checking that the lines referring to Tk in the setup file in the Python module directory are uncommented and present.but I still get the same error.
I am probably doing or missing something stupid as i am relatively new to both Linux and Python.I have been using Python under windows but I am wanting to ditch windows for Linux if possible.
So if some kind person could explain to me what or where I am going wrong I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance
Richard G.
