Has anyone run accross any papers or studies on changing the SHMAX , file-max and thread max in /proc? I have seen some gains increasing limits on a system we have that is 8way and 16 gig of memory, but I am looking for something a bt more scientific, like somebody took the time on all the tweaks and came up with real data.
