But why would you want to? GIF is a proprietary format!
Because the outcome of the job I am doing is also proprietary, I sometimes need to dine out, buy presents to wife etc. etc. Unless you mean I can not use GIF pictures in any websites, and in other stuff then I will consider alternatives. If I can, why bother if it's opensource or not :-)
That's my point. You can't use gif in proprietary commercial endeavours without paying royalties to Unisys (or was it compuserve). png will let you complete your commercial project and keep all the profits for yourself, or perhaps charge a little less to the client. //Anders
