Do you have iptables installed? Do a rpm -q iptables and see if a version is installed.

Now I use kernel 2.2.18 and ipchains finally works! Why does iptables not work with kernel 2.4.0-4GB ? Do I need other modules? Or do I need to compile the kernel.. because I have used the kernel straight from the installation cd, without changing it.
If anybody can tell me how to make iptables active..
