The easiest solution would be not to use sax2 at all, just use
plain old sax (they don't call it sax1). Don't start kde, just from
the command line type "sax" and you're there.

I'm on SuSE 7.1; KDE 2.2.1 What is the proper way to install a new video card with sax2? I can only get sax2 to run inside KDE; but I can only get into kde with the old card. How do I configure the new card while the old one is installed? I changed inittab to come up in runlevel 3, then try to run sax2; but in runlevel 3 sax2 gets as far as printing SAX: startup, then blanks the screen and locks up. I don't know how to get from here to there. Apparently SuSE doesn't use the FX86Config file in /etc. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead.
