Hi:
I need to know if there are any work arounds to this problem. I am trying to install 7.3 on an old 266mhz machine I picked up for use as a file and print server. Unfortunatly, durring the boot process it hangs when it gets to:
Partition check hda
I checked the Suse support database and they say it is a problem with the bios and to enable the floppy drive. I tried this and no luck. (The primary floppy drive was enabled, I also enabled the secondary floppy drive which does not exist. This is in accordance with the recomendations from Suse.)
I have searched the archives of this list, google, and all the sites I could think of for a solution but no luck. I have been able to install both Red Hat 7.1, 7.2 and FreeBSD on the machine without a hic-up so it looks to be a Suse specific problem. (I get the same error trying to load 7.1 on the same machine.)
Any recomendations on what to do about this issue?
Thanks,
Louis Brooks
