JDB is IIRC only the debugging stuff for jouranling FSs. I use ext3 (I compiled it into the kernel directly) without problems and I converted _all_ my ext2 partitions to ex3.
JDB stands for Journaling Block Device. It provides generic journaling functionality which ext3 depends on. EXT3 module would not load unless jbd is already loaded....either manually or through modprobe through dependency check. Cheers, -- Nadeem Hasan nhasan@nadmm.com http://www.nadmm.com/
