-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 OK, will DL K2.2.2. I'd gathered on this listserv that it had bad problems. Thing is, I'm running the latest KOrganizer, and this is a key app for me. I'm just concerned about kernel 2.4.10 due to the VM problems. I have got to get this stabilized for investment banking work, as I'm the only one to rely on, and it's my living. I need to do real work. On Tuesday 11 December 2001 11:34, you wrote:

Man, when will Suse post a newer kernel than 2-4-10?
I understand there's something wrong with the virtual machine, and I'm seeing some screwy things.
Like most of the menu selections under the Suse menu just *POP* disappeared one day, after I used Menu Editor! And fonts are wrong, even though set right... I have to select another, then select the desired, and THEN it is right. And in Susehelpcenter, /var/lib/susehelp/KDEkdeappl_en.html is missing, so I've lost SuseHelpIndex|KDE ApplicationManuals.
Does anyone have any idea which package has the Suse Menu items, like Applications, Development, etc?
And KOrganizer never notices an event I've set for alarm. I've used Time&Chaos for a long time, so am familiar with PIMs. But since the App manuals are missing (above), and KOrganizer docs are in XML, I haven't been able to read its docs. :(~
None of the things you mentioned have any direct relevance to the kernel but are related specifically to KDE and/or its configuration on your machine.
Are you using KDE 2.2.2? If not I'd recommend pulling the rpm from SuSE's LinuKS site.
susehelpcentre should work in 7.3 against KDE 2.2.x though.
