Jacek, I am going to send you a file by private email. It is the hylafax script that I have in /sbin/init.d. You can follow the suggestion I make below if you like **BUT AT YOUR OWN RISK**. I do not know if it will do any good, and **AND MAYBE IT COULD DO SOME HARM**. If you want to recreate the way my system looks, do the following as root: (1) Copy the file I am sending into /sbin/init.d and make it executable (chmod +x /sbin/init.d/hylafax). If you already have a file of that name in /sbin then back it up to somewhere safe before you copy mine into the directory. (2) MAKE QUITE CERTAIN that you do not have ANY files in /sbin/init.d/rc2.d which begin S30 or K30 (4) MAKE QUITE CERTAIN that you do not have ANY files in /sbin/init.d/rc3.d which begin S40 or K$0 (5) If there are no such files as I have mentioned in (3) and (4), then make the following symlinks : ln -s /sbin/init.d/hylafax /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S30hylafax ln -s /sbin/init.d/hylafax /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/K30hylafax ln -s /sbin/init.d/hylafax /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S40hylafax ln -s /sbin/init.d/hylafax /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/K40hylafax (6) Reboot Sorry about all the capital letters above - I really do not want to be responsible for doing any harm to your system. If in doubt, wait for someone wiser to give you advice. Regards, Geoff _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
