This is probably a stupid question but its' bugging me.
I have a standard 7.3 installation. /usr/src/linux is a symbolic link to /usr/src/linux-2.4.9, yet the running kernel, according to /var/log/boot.msg, is 2.4.10-GB The only subdirectories I have in /usr/src are "linux" (link to 2.4.9), linux-2.4.9 and linux-2.4.10SuSE
I did elect to install the sources during installation ( as well as the "rest of the sources" as SuSE puts it).
What is going on here?
Thanks
David
What's the problem? Point your link to whereever you want. Sounds like the "rest of the sources is probably the 2.4.9 sources and it got installed after the 2.4.10.SuSE. No biggy.
Well, I was just wondering where 2.4.10-GB came from since there is no subdirectory in /usr/src of that name. David
