Fred, at the Loki site and in the readme is this set of instructions: 6. Display 6.1 How do I tell Quake 3 which libGL to use?Answer: Launch Quake 3 with the following command-line: quake3 +set r_gldriver /path/to/your/preferred/libGL.so (specifying the correct path in place of the placeholder, of course) You can either tell it to use the linked libGL.so driver (mine, likely yours, is located in the following places: crrey@cb952536-a:~> locate libGL /opt2/tmp/NV-1541-tars/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1541/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.1541 /opt2/tmp/NV-1541-tars/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1541/usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.0.1541 /usr/lib/games/parsec/libGL.so /usr/lib/GL/libGL.so.1.0.1541.nv_glx /usr/lib/libGL.so /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.1541 /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1 /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.0.1541 /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.0.1541.nv_glx /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1 /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1.3 /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLw.a /usr/X11R6/lib/moonlight/libGL.so Or pick on from the list (well I don't think you want the moonlight/libGL.so or the libGLw.a or the parsec/libGL.so or /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.0.1541 etc.... o'k I'm getting silly). I have pointed my games to one of these two: /usr/lib/GL/libGL.so.1.0.1541.nv_glx /usr/lib/libGL.so Recently I have used the generic libGL.so because it seems to be linked properly the 1541 glx driver - save a bit of typing for an impatient gamer. And it never occurred to me to try /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.1541, though this may be the dummy driver, I'm not sure. HTH, Cheers. Curtis On Friday 30 November 2001 21:08, Fred A. Miller wrote:
