I have been using ReiserFS w/ 7.1 for months. Until recently, I also
had LVM installed, but was not using it. ReiserFS is a journalling
FS, so the meta-data (file name, permissions, etc.) is always
consistent. There is no fsck at boot time, just possibly a replaying
of transactions. You can lose data! My uptime records were written
to disk every 60 seconds and I would lose the contents about one crash
in three. I moved it to a ext2 partition and haven't lost the file
once. There is also a problem in version 3.5.29 that causes problems
for Postfix under a heavy load. I get 200-300 e-mails a day and have
not seen it. I am sticking with it.

Has anyone installed SuSE 7.1 using the LVM and formatting the drives for Resier? I have not tried it yet and wanted to make sure it was doable before I started.
