What your asking sounds confusing. You want for both you and your daughter to use the same CRT and keyboard and simultaneously operate the same computer but in different virtual terminals, or is your daughter going to log in remotely? JLK
Well often I start a large download and then don't need to be occupying the desk space, rather than have my daughter be forced to use my desktop & settings I can leave my dial-up connection running, switch virtual terminals and then she can play, work or surf as she wants in her own login space. All part of getting my daughter (10 yrs old) to see the possibilities beyond microsoft. As a matter of fact she is now trying to convince my wife to use linux instead of winders ;-) dh
