I would like to know if anyone has successfully made video captures _with sound_ in Linux and if so, how.
I've done it a few ways. How do you *want* to do it? Tell us what your frame grabber card is, your sound card, the source you're capping from, and the software you tried. Then tell us what happened and why you didn't think it worked. Personally, I have a Pinnacle DC10+ (MJPEG) Frame Grabber and a Creative Ensonique AudioPCI (es1371). For capturing with these, I use lavrec. When I had a WinTV, I used krabber, streamer, bttvgrab, and nupplevideo to grab streams with sound. It's all in the flags.
