Dave,

You should check into using xntpd for this function..it keeps the whole systems time correct. I use this instead of counting on any Window Manager app to do it correctly. It's pretty simple to make work. You will just install the xntpd package from the cd's. You then will edit the /etc/rc.config file and enable it. It has a place for servers it should check for the time...just do a search on the net and you'll find a couple close to you that should work.
You'll find a lot of information in /usr/share/doc/packages/xntp
->2. It's easy to add an applet to the KDE panel, but I can't find any ->info on how to remove an applet from the panel. Does anyone here know ->the answer?
Right click on the panel in a blank space on it and you should see a menu popup. If you move upward to add then you should see an entry called applets. You will find a list of all the applets there.
He was asking how you remove, not add. The answer is to look the left of each applet and you will see a thin vertical bar. RMB click on that and there is a "remove" option.
