Hi,
This could be a simple question or a long an complecated one.
Simple...
What is a nice 'ps' string to list the highest usage of cpu, pkts, page, disk, context and load.
This is not exactl what you asked for, but may give you a start..
ps -eo pid,%cpu,vsz,args,wchan
A bit of fiddling and sorting and adding a few params...
I forgot to mention if you are interested in the wchan field you need a kernel namelist (AKA System.map) for the current running kernel in /boot, otherwise it cannot reliably tell you what the process is doing, since the location of things change when you make different kernels. -- Regards Cliff
