Hi, 127.0.0.1 is your local network loopback device for your first network interface card. 127.0.0.2 is your local network loopback device for your second network interface card. You can never get rid of the card, because it is a core part of networking... ...it will always be there so don't worry about it. Regards Q On Fri 19 Oct 01 10:10, Pep Serrano wrote:
Why do I get always... in /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.0.2 my_host_name my_host_name
Even when I change it, next SuSEconfig sets it back again to this values. What is 127.0.0.2???
