SuSE 7.1 Pro Here is what I did: 1. Installed the mysql, mysql-bench, and mysql-shared through yast2 at the command line. 2. Edited my /etc/rc.config so that START_MYSQL="yes" 3. Ran SuSEconfig 4. rebooted When the bootup gets to starting mysql it says failed and the next line says: Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql I've tried the process, suggested in a previous email, of rcmysql stop, mv /var/lib/mysql /mysqlold, rcmysql start, but that lists the same error failed: Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql any suggestions at all?
