I have a Sony 19" monitor with some kind of anti-reflective coating on the screen. The instructions that came with it do not say anything useful about cleaning the screen. I don't want to damage the anti-reflection coating, so what can I do to clean the screen? Is plain water on a rag OK? Or what? Thanx--doug
Hi Doug, I've got a Viewsonic PT795 which also has a special coating on it. Viewsonic recommends only non-alcohol and non-ammonia based cleaners. In particular, one called KlearScreen. I use it and it seems to do fine. You have to polish a bit more since it doesn't evaporate as quickly as alcohol-based cleaners.
