Is anyone having any problems with Apache on SuSE 7.2?
Mine keeps seg-faulting when doing CGI stuff. I thought it was mod-perl at first but I no longer think this.
I am now trying the default apache that comes with 7.2
Anyone have any ideas?

I ran into this a few weeks ago. After beating my head against the wall for two hours, carefully disabling one Apache module after another, I couldn't get it to work. I decided that *somewhere* along the line a library version update from something else had broken Apache...shades of Wintendo "DLL Hell." In desperation, because I had a web project that needed to be done ASAP, I made the choice to force reinstallation of the Apache RPMs (including PHP, Perl, and their associated modules, as well as SSH...basically a full dependency tree for Apache). I hoped to let this break something else so that at least I'd find out where the interaction was. The funny thing is that in the ensuing weeks I've seen no problems whatsoever with my system. So while I don't yet know what was broken, I consider the problem to be fixed for the moment. <sigh> Scott -- -----------------------+------------------------------------------------------ Scott Courtney | "I don't mind Microsoft making money.
