Bob, I have noticed the same phenominom. I believe it has something to do with the error reporting. If you get certain types of errors then it seems to close the console window when it doesn't have anywere to report them. This is just a feeling from the tests I have done so far. i am also just now getting back into WINE after 2 years of not using it. One way might be to assign the link in the kde to tell it to open a console. This is possible, but I run everything from a xterm window anyway so tell us if this helps. I just tried wine again and it works, which it didn't before
Well, for some programs
So I need to know what to do for those that don't. What happens is that a Konsole window flashes, and then disappears. I am trying to run them from within KDE by clicking on them, which worked for mirc. These programs that flash a Konsole window can be loaded if I use the Konsole.
Just beginning to try wine.
