Hi I have done that with SuSE 7.2. Unfortunately the driver module is bound to kernels 2.2.16 and 2.4.0 (if I remember correctly), and the module is binary, so it seems to be impossible to use it with another kernel versions. So, download either one of those kernel, compile and install it. Then at least in SuSE, place that module name to "initrd modules" with zast, run "mk_initrd" to build the ramdisk-image, chech that LILO has the initrd correctly configured, and run LILO. I'm not 100% sure about correct order of things, I'm not in my RAID-machine at the moment. But at least I know it works. Jaska. Viestissä Perjantai 28. Syyskuuta 2001 07:45, Rob Davies kirjoitti:
Has anybody been able to get the 7.1 raid driver that is available from Highpoint to actually work or compiled the actual module into another kernel.
Maybe even, how to make this a module for insertion through initrd as per the usb module, currently using 7.1, kernel 2.4.4.28, KDE2.2 pre1, XFree86 4.10.3
Thanks
