Just one thing Ken....have you actually told Apache where to get the information for server-status???

Sorry....I didn't really explain this too well did I :-) <Slaps hands>. What I meant was, on my SuSE box, there is a section relating to "server-status" already defined in my "/etc/httpd/httpd.conf" file. Have you altered this?? If you were to post me your configuration file "/etc/httpd/httpd.conf", I'd be happy to take a look at it.
In my article for the "Linux Gazette" (I am the Linux Weekend Mechanic)
) I explained how all this Apache stuff works. Thanks for the link Thomas. Great article...doesn't seem to address the whole server-status problem though, but a nice article just the same. Just for grins and giggles I commented out the <IfDefine STATUS> line and it works like a charm. I understand that STATUS is a configure option at compile time, but I'm not entirely clear why simply commenting that out of the httpd.conf file makes it work...
Umm, you have me there. I don't know either :-)
