Group, I just installed SuSE on a Dell Dimension 4100 866 MHz machine. Are all the other KDE related things up to date? I typically fetch the entire /pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_7.2 directory and run yast1 chosing package management -> install packages, hit enter -> directory -> /directory/sub/rpms/ Be sure you have the other helper libs especially QT up to date.
