That, I have not tried. But I will! :) You mentioned something about checking cgi-bin, Perl, etc. Can you be a little more specific? i.e. what to check? Konqueror will open html documents just fine (i.e. clicking on an html document in a directory) Also, if I choose Quanta to open html files in konqueror configuration, and then use the helpcenter, Quanta does open the files. I also tried (in konqueror config) telling it to open konqueror as a separate window, not imbedded. No joy. I have experienced the exact same problem, and there were a few others that chimed in with the problem when it was first mentioned on the list. The following is the response that SuSE gave to someone else on this list:
<snip> For the SuSE Linux 7.3 release the SuSE help centre will work as usual. But we won't offer an update susehelp script to be compatible with KDE 2.2 updates for lower versions than SuSE Linux 7.3.

If it is a configuration problem, I can't find it. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. Also, everything else I've used seems to work fine. It may be an obscure bug, or something so simple we'll feel really stupid when someone figures it out! :)
Ah ha! KDE 2.2 is the root of the problem then. Have you tried susehelp -nox to see if it works with Lynx?
