What about using Partimage instead of a second hard disk?
Hi, I had taken a very quick look at Partimage when I saw it on the freshmeat newsletter a week or two ago. As I said in my original post, I am a little short of time just now, but my quick look at the faq left me with the impression that it did not support a write across NTFS (I may be wrong though). A more important reason for me is, however, that I use my linux box very heavily for my work. If the HDD fails one morning it is very important to me that I can be up and running again in a few minutes by simply swapping the failed HDD with the clone. Thanks for responding though.
