I just bought Suse 7.2 Pro and I love every single piece of it. Guys at SUSE have done a great job. I used to work on Mandrake! :))
Heh, that's good to hear :)
I have couple of small problems though. First one might be some bug in KDE 2.2. Whenever I create new user account and I start Kde with that account I can access fonts in my Control Center/ Look and Feel. After I set them up and relog in with the same account I can't find any fonts anymore. Whereever should a font list appear, it is blank.
Sorry, can't help you with that.. my computer is too slow for X.
Second problem is that I can't mount music CD on my computer. I wonder if anyone has any idea why? CD is ok, it plays in my car CD player.
This I _can_ help you with. It is not possible to mount an audio CD. An audio CD does not have a filesystem: it's just pure 16-bit 44.1kHz PCM data. To simply play it, you need a program that reads straight from the CD, therefore you need read (and write?) permissions for your CDROM device. I believe XMMS does this, so fire it up and try playing audio. If it doesn't work, try changing the permissions [ chmod 666 /dev/cdrom ] and try again. -- noodlez: Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 0x3A1446A0
