I have been playing with GRUB on a floppy. The menu pops up as promised and the 2 linux partitions on ext2 will boot. Windows 98 partition will boot. One linux partition that is reiserfs (new to that too) will not boot, goes to default menu choice instead. Here is my menu.lst. What am I missing that will let GRUB boot a reiserfs partition? # # /boot/grub/menu.lst - generated by Lizard # # options fstest 1 lba32 timeout = 30 splashscreen = (hd0,7)/boot/message.original default = 0 fallback = 2 title = Linux72 root = (hd0,7) kernel = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.9 lba32 title = Linux72R root = (hd1,4) kernel = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.9 lba32 title = Linux64 root = (hd0,5) kernel = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.6 lba32 # debug=2 root=/dev/hda1 title = Windows98 root = (hd0,0) makeactive chainloader +1 Ed Harrison, broadcasting on ----/ / _ ---/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ --/ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / -/____/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ by SuSE(7.2), Kernel 2.4.9, X 4.1 or Windows98 (running in vmware 2.0.4 for fun) PolarBarMailer 1.20 with IBM JDK 1.3.0
