Perhaps you could find the name of the person who ->packages the OpenSSH for SuSE and send him or her some e-mail. This is a ->fairly old issue which seems to have fallen through the cracks. I did nothing out of the ordinary..I just installed OpenSSH off the 7.2 CD's and it has sftp. I am wondering why people are not finding it. As you can see..this is what I get from which and from rpm -q. (ben@frell) ~> which sftp [22:31 01-09-15] sftp is /usr/bin/sftp (ben@frell) ~> rpm -q openssh [22:31 01-09-15] openssh-2.9p1-23 It's there. I do have the update from ftp.suse.com, but that was updated in July..so I guess it could be the only answer..but then again if SuSE puts out an update for something like OpenSSH..one should most likely get it. So if the original rpm was messed up...just get the current one off the ftp site...problem solved. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org cat CE|ME|NT|XP > /dev/null
