Hi. Well it is only half working :(
I installed the suse rpms and then overwrote them ( Perhaps not such a good idea ) by compiling 2.2.1a with the following, which someone suggested.
use this ./configure it works
./configure --prefix=/etc --bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --mandir=/us r/share/doc/packages/samba/manpages --with-lockdir=/var/lock/samba --with-swatdir=/usr/lib/samba/swat/include
except I think i removed the --prefix.
My problem is that I can get files to share a folder on the machine, but the printer although visible ( an epson 740) is always inaccessible with "access denied"
I have samba on my server as well, an earlier version. I have no problems with that but it isnt running cups.
I've changed the printer section to.. [printers] path = /tmp print ok = Yes printing = cups
