Well, I have it installed..but I was trying to run RC from with KDE2.2 which shouldn't make much of a difference..unless it checks running applications..which would be silly.
Any thoughts on this?

Not much doubt in my mind that what is in the ftp site available at ximian is not what you get with the installer and Red Carpet. For example if you use the installer and red carpet on a SuSE 7.2 system you get a functioning version of Evo 0.13. Go to the ftp site and the Evo that is there is Evo 0.11. Having played with this for about 2 weeks now on several different SuSE sytems, I am firmly convinced that the simplest, easiest way to get evo up and running is to use the installer and Red Carpet.
