I need to activate a swap partition before starting the install as 16mb isn't enough to do a network install. How the heck do I do this? I can't find anywhere where I can drop out to a console, or any menu options allowing me to create/activate any swap.
a quick'n'dirty work-around is to grab a copy of Tom's Root/Boot:
and fdisk & mkswap. When you get into the NFS install, it will find and activate the swap, so you can continue.
Thanks for the quick response. In the few minutes that I had to try this tonight, it didn't work. Does the swap partition need to primary partition 1? I have a small partition there for hibernation support. I'll have to try shuffling things around when I get a few more minutes. -- Brian Youngstrom briany@altavista.net
