Hello SuSE folkz, The first time I've noticed that something wrong with fonts in KDE on SuSE7.2 when I opened Kedit->Setting->Configure-Kedit and found that the very left Font window is empty and Character set is default without any additional options. Exactly the same I found in Quanta where Default Font Family menu was blank and the same in KDE Advanced Editor configuration. I launched KFontinst and it started complaining about absence of /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Managed directory which was exist in my previous SuSE7.1 installation. I corrected this issues by creating needed directory. It also complained about file /usr/share/ghostscript/5.50/lib/Fontmap which I found in a quite different location /usr/share/ghostscript/5.50/Fontmap. I corrected it as well. After I completed font configuration with KFontinst I verified with 'xfontsel' have I have plenty of fonts 8225. Could somebody tell me please why after all these font manipulations and configurations Default Font Family menu in KDE editors and Quanta is still blank? Did somebody have the same issue? I didn't have this issue in SuSE7.1. Is this SuSE7.2 misconfiguration? How to correct this. Any help or ideas are appreciated.
