After installing SuSE 7.2 I am trying to get my email set up as I had it before on SuSE 7.0.
I need to either 1. open up smtp in /etc/inetd.conf, or 2. add the following to my .fetchmailrc file: mda "/usr/sbin/sendmail -oem -f %F %T"
Since I do neither of these things on my SuSE 7.0 setup, I wonder what *else* I did to make it work on 7.0. Any ideas?
Maybe you had started Sendmail via /etc/rc.config, or YAST, instead of inetd.conf. If it started via rc.config, it wouldn't need either of the above. HTH
