hi sundar, im not 100% sure but i think you have to enable the "scsi generic support" in the kernel configuration. this should be available as module as well. as module it is called sg.o , so do a "insmod sg" if you have this module already compiled. greets, chris Am Sonntag, 10. Hello,
I am trying to configure my old UMAX Astra 610P scanner to my SuSE 7.1 Linux box. when I went through the archive, I was able to find Configure your scanner under yast. But it doesn't show my scanner at all. All it shows is my existing 2 scsi drive.
So, my question is how do I add my scanner as a SCSI drive to the system
Note: All I did was attach my scanner to the printer port and powered the scanner and then the system up.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks, Sundar
