Yes, I tried that and Apache 2.0 needs to be tested more for
production....If you modify the Start Servers variable you can lower the
amount of active processes.

I downloaded the source tarball and installed it without any fancy settings, just to try it out. Default httpd.conf and all.
The thing is, when I start it, there are something like 35 to 80 httpd processes!! I haven't touched the default number of servers and processes.
